The Northwoods Foundation is proud to partner with these amazing community organizations.
The D.R.I.V.E.N. Foundation: DRIVEN is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to providing a continuum of educational programming along with support services to under served populations throughout Central Ohio and surrounding cities. Ultimately, our goal is to empower these residents to realize their full potential through programming, community events and outreach focused on strengthening families and networks of support. According to Roy Hall (founder and Buckeye Alum), “This foundation is not about money, publicity or simply to be seen as a ‘good deed’ in the eyes of my peers. It IS about challenging some choices, enriching lives, giving hope, taking time, teaching skills and making moments that mold futures.”
The Salvation Army of Central Ohio: The Salvation Army has a special role helping families at Christmas time through our Christmas Cheer and Adopt-a-Family programs. The Christmas Cheer program is a food and toy distribution program where families receive a Christmas Dinner food box which includes a chicken, stuffing, potatoes, apples, corn, milk, butter, yams, applesauce and cookies. It also includes a toy for every child under the age of 13. In 2010, The Salvation Army collected 9,235 new toys and assisted 23,040 people through our Adopt-a-Family and Christmas Cheer programs.
